I have worked in a medical laboratory since 1989. I started as a bench tech, working my way up to a section supervisor, lab supervisor, lab operations manager, and laboratory director. I am currently trained as a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, pending certification.
I have extensive experience in all areas of laboratory and laboratory management. I am fluent in all regulatory aspects of the medical laboratory to include CUA, CAP and JCAHO. I have limited experience with state regulations, but can learn quickly and be a resource for any medical laboratory within the United States and limited resource for any international laboratories.
I have performed over 25 on site laboratory inspections within the last two years, and continue to do these inspections to stay abreast of current changes in regulations as well as recommending lean processes and efficiency where it would be most beneficial.
I live in Nacogdoches, Texas, with my husband Joe and my dog Daisy. I love music, traveling, reading, and watching movies in my spare time.
