Taylor Vaughn

Taylor Vaughn, MBA, CHFM, CHC,C LSS-HCi,s a Facility Manager at Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas, overseeing systemwide Environment of Care and Life Safety regulatory compliance. Taylor manages a team of 3 employees to oversee all Engineering, EVS, Security, and Fire Systems regulatory compliance documentation and responsibilities system-wide, including a total of 616 licensed beds and over 4 million square feet. She is also a Content Writer at Legacy FM, creating custom facilities-related training material for healthcare systems.

Taylor is the Region 5 Director for the Texas Association of Healthcare Facility Management (TAHFM), representing all of Dallas/Fort Worth. In 2020, Taylor received the TAHFM Future Leader award, given to one member in the state that shows promising leadership potential within the healthcare engineering field. She is a member of the Member Tools Task Force with the American Society of Health Care Engineering (ASHE), and she is a frequent contributor to Health Facilities Management magazine. She has written 4 full articles over the past 3 years, covering ventilation management, recruiting and retaining technical staff, and facility asset management. Taylor is the vice-chair of the Operational Optimization Task Force with ASHE, and is currently working with a team to develop an operational guideline for ASH RAE 170.
